Apex Microtechnology Expands Precision IC Product Line to Include 8-channel Driver and Photo Receiver Amplifier IC.

Product Line Overview

Apex Microtechnology, an industry leader in precision power analog technologies, announced today the expansion of their Precision IC product line. Previously comprised of nine linear amplifier ICs and four driver and sensor ICs, the product family now includes two new devices: an 8-channel driver and a photo receiver amplifier IC. The new devices complement Apex’s existing line of ICs, which provide supply voltages of up to 350V and feature multi-channel architectures.

“Apex Microtechnology continues to push the boundaries of innovation in the power analog industry,” says Jens Eltze, Director of Business Development at Apex Microtechnology. “With the launch of our new devices, we are responding to the increased market demand for advanced capabilities in smaller packages. Our latest Precision ICs are designed to face the challenges of miniaturizing next-gen systems, enabling our customers to develop smaller, more efficient systems without compromising performance. This expansion of our portfolio not only enhances our existing hybrid offerings but also provides cost-effective solutions tailored for a diverse range of applications.” With the addition of these new devices, Apex expands its offerings for high power, high precision requirements in applications such as; piezoelectric transduction, capacitive actuation, and LED drivers, among others.

The new devices join Apex's existing line of Precision ICs, which offer supply voltages up to 350 V, exceptionally fast slew rates, and are available in multi-channel architectures. Check out the two new Precision ICs below!

AIC1513 - 8-Channel Parallel High Voltage Driver

  • Wide supply voltage range (30V to 300V)
  • Output current per channel is 40mA
  • Output rise time control by external resistance
  • Serial or parallel input
  • N-channel MOSFET outputs for reduced power consumption

The AIC1513 is a rigid, low-cost general purpose high voltage driver IC with 8 high voltage push-pull outputs. The device has been designed for harsh industrial applications and allows a wide application area. The outputs can drive capacitive and resistive loads such as piezoelectric transducers, electroluminescent devices and micro-mechanical actuators. The maximum operating voltage is 300V, and each output can handle currents up to 40 mA.

AIC1638 - Photo Receiver Amplifier IC

  • High sensitivity
  • Two-wire digital output interface
  • Ultra-small footprint
  • Low power
  • Excellent ESD robustness (HBM)

REQUEST A SAMPLE

The AIC1638 is a compact, integrated receiver amplifier designed for high-sensitivity photo diodes used in applications like light barriers, smoke detectors, light curtains, and similar. Filtering out ambient light and amplifying the detected pulses from a photo diode, the conditioned signals are used for driving a current mirror output stage. Implementing an integrated polarity protection, the device can be used in a multiplexed configuration, simplifying the wiring of the application. Optimized to minimize the need for external components, can be used for light sensing applications ranging from a few millimeters to several meters.
